"My two years in China were some of the most formative years of my life. When I started this journey, I had no idea how much it would teach me. From the culture-shock, living away from home for the first time, the intensive IB curriculum... I gained life skills and emotional maturity that would have otherwise taken a lot longer to learn. I met some of the most talented, interesting and driven people I know, learnt about issues and topics I didn't even know existed, I overcame many hardships - all of these are moments and lessons that will last with me for the rest of my life. Having just completed my first year of university, I can tell that much is true. My experience at UWC Changshu has been such an incredible preparation for what came next and has left me with the knowledge that even as one individual, I can have impact and should try to enforce positive change however I can."
